Nicky Broster was born in 1960 and has always had a passion for painting with inspiration acquired from the countryside. She is completely self taught with no formal training. She worked for an interior designer in Hampshire for many years and learnt that people enjoy having objects in their homes that are fun and entertaining, it is what makes a home unique and individual.

After moving from Hampshire to North Devon “Mostly Mouses” was created, combining her love of painting poultry and farm animals with the fun of the mice and other creatures. It is a two man cottage industry with all pieces cut by her partner Andrew and then each one individually hand painted by Nicky.
The range of designs and products have continued to increase far beyond the original mice. Nicky's latest innovation, which is extremely popular is the newspaper range of medium size designs, which work so well put onto the Toilet Roll Holder or Chalk Board. These can be personalised for the newspaper to read your own headlines at no extra cost. This makes a truly unique and individual present, especially suitable for the men or as a wedding/anniversary gift. The range includes a Sporting Fox, Foxy Lady, Hare, Toad and Mouse.
For the children, the mice can be personalized with names and dates of birth making a delightful Christening/new born baby gift - which are enjoyed by both the children and the parents as they are such attractive additions to decorate the nursery walls.
Whether you are looking for farm animals for the kitchen, hunting themed designs for the cloakroom or dancing mice for the bedroom, there is sure to be a design/products combination to fit the bill?
Nicky welcomes commissioned work, especially on the rare breeds, so please feel free to telephone her on 01769 550775 or email to discuss your possible requirements.
